Simply put, The Restless Nest is a blog. From the name, you can probably guess it’s run by someone with a bit of trouble focusing on one thing at a time. Which is why, at the moment, I’ve got at least a dozen tabs open, and if I’m being honest… I still don’t even know what I’m doing. (Seriously though, I don’t.)
In any case, here I am: an ADHD-stricken fella with nothing left to do but share what I like to call “the inevitables”—aka, the random chaos that fills my days. Pretty much, this blog will feature all of my misadventures, curated weekly for your viewing pleasure. What day of the week, exactly? Well, if you know anything about ADHD, you’ll understand that planning ahead is as futile as trying to sit still for 40 minutes (totally impossible, right?).
But beyond being just a lame recap of my week, I’ll be sharing tips on how I attempt to manage myself as an ADHD individual who spends most of his time at home. From my ridiculous stabs at productivity to my not-so-destructive hobbies, I hope that each weekly issue of this blog resonates with someone out there—someone who, like me, finds themselves in a world that feels both big and small at the same time. (And by world, I mean your house, obviously.)
But hey, it’s not all chaos-fuelled rabbit holes (though there’s plenty of that). Sometimes, amidst the whirlwind of thoughts, I stumble upon little gems—like a productivity hack that actually works for more than five minutes, or a hobby that doesn’t end with me accidentally setting something on fire (long story). And when that happens, I’ll be here to share it with you, fellow nest dwellers.
